What's your superhero power?

Feeling like a fraud? Struggling to remember WHY you’re even on this journey? Or maybe you’re not even sure where YOU fit into your own future dream and how on earth you’ll ever get there if you don’t know what you want to do.

I get it. I’ve been there. I spent MONTHS wondering what I could do to escape my 9-5 (for the second time!) and do something that I felt truly passionate about BUT I DIDN’T KNOW WHAT TO DO. I thought I wasn’t good at anything else apart from “my job”. I knew I wanted to move away from an industry that I’d been in for 15 years (and done very well in too!) but move into what? I was stressed out, thinking I’d be stuck doing this forever, or be forced into taking some other nameless job just to work closer to home to give me a better work:life balance but with low job satisfaction.

Like most revelations, the answer was right under my nose the whole time.

*Drum roll please*.

I love helping people. It sounded so simple, a bit BLAH and, well, nothingy!

But when I delved deeper, I realised that I  see the beautiful potential in people when they are struggling to see their own amazing-ness for themselves. NOT ONLY THAT, but I’m able to help them understand their own worth, and potential and support them in their growth over time.
I see more in people than they see in themselves. I love supporting people as we stretch their comfort zones, helping them to feel comfortable with feeling uncomfortable, and giving them new ways of thinking. In my years on earth I have done this time and time again. It’s so second nature to me that I didn’t even think of it as a “thing”.

When someone said to me “It’s about time you got paid for straightening people out!” I knew I was on the right track. I get a real kick from creating content that people respond to, so they know they are not the only one struggling, giving them ideas on how to take the next step forward, and from hearing the A-HA! spark burst into flame during coaching calls.
The answers to these questions will help you determine your own super power:

  • What do you love doing?
  • What’s effortless for you?
  • What are you great at?
  • What do others often come to you for?
  • How do you amaze others?
  • When are you fearless?
  • What can you see more clearly than others?

So. Tell me. What’s YOUR super hero power? What’s that thing that you do so often that you’re not even conscious of it any more? If you STILL don’t know, give me a call and I’ll help you find it!

What did you think?
